Google photos app missing icon

I have managed to install the app on my 2016 TV, but no icon. To run, I have to go deep into the menus.

I was hoping it would be fixed with the latest update. But no.

Any idea how to get the icon?

Hi there

How did you install the app? Was it available in the Google Play Store on the TV - or did you sideload it??

If you sideloaded it, you will need to install another app called "Sideload Launcher - Android TV" : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.tv.sideloadlauncher&hl=en_GB

and then run the app from there - which is quicker than going through all the menus.
