Sony bluetooth headphones

Hi, I have a Sony KD55X8509C and I have purchased a set of Sony Bluetooth headphones, I have read that Sony TVs are not compatable with wireless headphones, does anyone know of a way to link these without the use of cables etc... , have heard of linking Bluetooth transmitters to send signal, is this something anyone has used, if so what type, any help would be great.
