hello. i bought a new xperia L but why i can't turn on the flash when i touch into the flash icon in camera apps??

yes. this is the picture. i'm use xperia L,android 4.1.2 build number 150.0.A.1.31
you look at the flash icon. it does't shine like the other icon. when i touch to on the flash,it doesn't respond. what the problem??

Try to reset your Camera Settings. Goto Settings > Apps > Camera > Clear Cache and Clear Data. If it doesn't work try to factory rest your phone.

Hello brother Flash will not work when HDR mode is ON. That's not a problem .Turn off HDR mode then you can access the flash setting.OK

Same here. I've had the phone since June and my flash has stopped working, both in camera and apps.

Hey guys me too have the same problem.. My flash isn't working.. Guess, it is a hardware complaint.

I'm having the same problem with my flashlight..
Any solution????
its really annoying me cause I cant enjoy using my camera, and any flashlight apps...
I installed the swiss army knife app ( using its flashligh) and after sometime i noticed that the flash is sometimes working and some other times its not working !!!!!

Hello friends xperia l flash stoped working after the crap updation 15.3.a.1.14 i have done a factory rest also but for few days flash had been working after tat its stopped....!!! Now i need to reset factory settings one more time to bring to the normal stage :'(

I had the same problem just now: I went to switch on the torch and the button was greyed out. I managed to get it back working -

I opened the Camera and tapped on settings where my HDR was already OFF so not sure its certain to state that it is associated to whether the HDR is on or off. Anyway I switched on HDR mode then I switched it off just in case; then I tapped on the FLASH and in my Flash options (which were currently set to OFF) and I tapped on Torch which worked as the torch came ON and then I selected auto flash to turn it OFF. I closed the Camera and rechecked my Torch Button which was no longer greyed out and was working again. So the problem does seem to be associated with the Camera somehow
