Dear Sir,

i have this problem too same week after installing the same buggy update , this problem appears after a while of turning on the phone ( 2 or 3 days may be ) and once i restart the phone in the normal mode it disappears for a similar period and so on.

so once i restart the phone in the safe mode the problem will disapppear too, so i don't know what this can prove.

If run the phone in safe mode for a couple of hours without experience the same behavior it seems like it may be caused by some 3rd party application in your phone.

If the behavior comes back when in safe mode I would suggest that you try to reinstall/repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > "Repair phone".
