Headphone jack bug

My x performance stops recognizing any headphone connected to it after updating to official android 7. But when I force music to play via headphones using SoundAbout app, it plays correct, in headphones. So I think it is software bug, but what can I force to get rid of this trouble?

I am sorry to hear about this Can you please test your phone in safe mode and see if the same issue occurs?

I checked in safe mode and it doesn't work.

This sounds similar to an issue on older devices. Since it works with SoundAbout it would appear to be a software problem. Can you please try a software repair using Xperia Companion?

Does Sony aware of this bug? Is there a hope this bug will be fixed in next updates?

What's the brands of the headsets you are using? Do you have any Sony headphones to test?

I tested smartphone with standart sony headphones that comes with it, xiaomi headphones and phillips ones to.

I have the same problem. I can connect but I can't play music. I can tick the box for phone but not for media sound. I have tried everything but the companion. This is a software problem after the update. I have a deep crisis here! No music or podcasts for me...

Today comes new update - 39.2.A.0.374, and it didn't fix the issue. I am dissapointed.

"Headphones not supported..." message is what I'm getting. I haven't used headphones since my last vacation (Mar 2017) so I don't know when it stopped working.. And now I'm trying to find a fix but nothing. Went through 48 pages of the Z5 forum which was marked Solved but nothing was solved. I did software repair using companion and safe mode still doesn't work. With few post on this issue in this forum, are there few X owners or just a few X owners with headphones jack issues? SoundAbout works but I don't want another app. What's the deal sony?

Got the same issue, workaround with soundabout workshop. Without it goes over the speakers, got the problem since update.
