Change default alarm clock

For reasons I wont go into, I want to change the default alarm clock app on my Xperia X Compact with Android 7.1.1. I can't find a way to do it. Does anyone here know how?

Download a 3rd party clock/alarm app, try Timely for example.

I do have a third party alarm clock: Alarm Clock Plus. I just can't find a way to make it the default.

The reason I needed it is because I use the feature in Calengoo (calendar app) that silences the phone during calendar events. The problem is that the default alarm sounds on a channel that Calengoo doesn't silence. Alarm Clock Plus will sound on a channel that Calengoo will silence.

What I did is adding a clock widget on my homescreen, and upon tapping on it for the first time you'll be prompted to choose which app to open (stock or downloaded clock) and set it to do this always.
