I used global official ROM for a year from the moment when I brough XC from the store (I'm not from US so my XC was already for fingerprint). From the moment when problem started (on the global official ROM) and re-install didn't help (I had tried it by Xperia Companion and Flashtool too) I'm using unofficial firmware, but arter a week fingerprint hardware's problem started againt and only reboot is helps (and it works for whole or half of a day).

I've read a lot of forums and treads about this problem but still can't find the solition. I thought about some software compatibility problem (like software which can use fingerprint for entrance, Google Pay for example) but once when I re-installed (official) ROM I got "Fingerprint hardware not available" after the first lock screen (so I even didn't have time for setup any third party software).

Is there a service test for the fingerprint sensor? I don't see one on my phone, but I am using the USA firmware, so it may not be present. Try *#*#SERVICE#*#* in the phone dialer.

Could you tell me you mean Settings-Support-Xperia Tests? If the answer is yes, there are a lot of tests and each passed good except GPS (I don't know why, сonsidering that's works good) but there isn't Fingerprint test. So the only one test which I can see it's test in Service Menu (*#*#7378423#*#*), but as I've written Service Menu is falls off. Vicious circle

If you're unable to use the service test, and you've already reset the phone but the problem still persists, then I would say it's probably a hardware fault. You'd have to decide whether to repair the phone or replace it.

You mean Settings-Support-Xperia Tests? Sometimes I can find Fingerprint sensor in Sensors and sometimes I can't. So sometimes fingerprint can works perfectly but Fingerprint sensor won't be here (Support app), and after reboot (which I have to do because of "Fingerprint hardware not available") Fingerprint sensor becomes visible in Sensors and I can pass it.
