Music on SD card not found by Music app

Please can someone help me, I have all my music on my sd but the music player that is on the phone does not find them. Also all the music on my internal storage was deleted, but, after restarting my phone all the songs appeared back in the internal music folder. It's driving me crazy.

There's probably an app causing this problem, whenever you think the songs are deleted open a file commander and see if they are indeed there, also

settings > apps > music > memory > clear memory > restart the phone

Thank you, I did as u advised but there is no option to clear memory. Also when I go to memory and it calculates it states there is no music there but when going into music folder the songs are there.

Settings > apps > Music > Storage > Clear Data > restart the phone

download a file commander from the playstore

Thank you did all that you said and once phone was restarted no music, for 2 seconds then all back again. I don't understand.

Could you unmount the SD card > remove it > restart the phone > check again

Welcome to the community.

Can you please try moving some of the music to the internal memory and see if that makes a difference?

My music downloads are in file commander all bundled together ready. I have some left in music. Please help. I'd rather be dead than cool. Also Kurt Cobain

did you check the format of your music files?

how about when you connect your device to a PC. does it show all of your music files?
