is it possible to use the Samsung Gear 360 Manager app with the Sony Xperia X compact phone, to control it with it?

Sorry, it does not. Samsung is using this bad policy of allowing to use some hardware with specific apps that work only on some Samsung phones

No, that has changed. I installed the .apk manually and I could connect it to my Xperia Z1 compact. I saw the photo on the gear 360 but than it freeze. I also couldn't control the cam with the smartphone, than it also freezed.

So I wanted to try it with the Xperia X compact. Before I buy it I wanted to check, if the app runs.

But now I bought an other 360° cam. The RICOH Theta S. This thing is much better.
