Recently I've been having this problem that a message appears every time I plug my headphones, it says "headset not supported" with a headphones it used to work before. It all started 2 days ago when I plugged my brother's headphones (they are Sony) and took a little time before I could hear something, since then, every time I plug my headset I have the message, I tried multiple headsets and it only recognize the earbud type and not the big ones like the ath-m40x from audio technica I have been using for like 2 months. I've already tried a lot of solutions, even tried to use the Sony companion's repair and it still not working, and I don't know if there something else I can make. The problem started 3 days ago.

Hi, yes I tried the Safe mode before, havent tought on cleaning the jack so i just did, and it has some dust, but still didn't worked, but i think i found the problem, i think the jack connector must be failing because i just tried connecting my headphones pushing the plus a little to one side and it worked, but it has to be kept pushed, if i release it, the headphones don't disconnect but the sound it kinda goes away, and if i push back, the sound comes back to normal. So i think its something more physical than firmware error. Now I think i need to find somewhere to get it repaired, and i don't know if theres a sony retailer where i live (Quebec, Canada). Still, thanks for the answer
