Hi

iI have recently changed to a Sony Xperia x, from a Galaxy A3.

I love the design of the xperia but although the battery on the Galaxy was weaker in power, and I was always having to charge it, the more powerful Sony, is no different. I expected the more modern and more powerful, newer phone would have improved this, but it doesn't seem to be any different.

I've been through the help support suggestions on the Sony website, but I'm stil having to constant put my phone on charge.

Together with this and a few other things, like no better speaker in handsfree calls, and the lak of in built features, such as different fonts available, note program without adverts etc; which I miss after the A3.

Chris

The Xperia X instead has a 2620mAh battery which should deliver enoug juice for more than 24hours. No, please do this: Go in Settings, Battery, tap to "Show Battery Usage" and Capture a screenshot of that page. This will help us to understand why your phone battery life is that terrible.

The signal on your screenshots are all 0 bar, lower signals eats more battery usually.

Does your A3 also uses LTE and also show the same 0 bar?

Ok I'm not sure what you mean, but I have looked at the main contenders from the lists and found the main culprit was 'mobile radio'.. This for some reason was on all the time. I didn't switch it on, but since I 'forced stop' the app, the battery lasted all night, and with some to spare next morning.

This I find a little strange, as I'm thinking why would Sony enable this, and why would it assume I need it on 24 hours a day, without even listening to it.
