Problem with g mail syncing

Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently bought my son his own Xperia x compact. He has been playing pokemon go set up on my Google account so I have had to sign in to my google account on his phone so he can keep playing as you can't transfer pokemon go accounts. The problem is I don't want anyone to access my Gmail in particular from his phone, ( especially my ex, son's father) so I have switched off auto sync before loading my Google account but it is still syncing all my mail. How can I stop this happening? Even better is there a way to pin protect my account on that phone? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

If he's old enough for such a device then set him up his own account, it's the only logical solution.

@Cassiopiea although @XprncD is right there is still something that can be done.

Take your son's X Compact, go in settings, account, tap on Google then tap to the account you want to modify... that's it.. disable sync for Gmail, or everything.. and enjoy your email synced!

There is nothing that can be done to protect that account if her son is using it on the phone.
