Send it back, that looks similar to an issue I had with one of the cheap screens I had to buy for my Z1 Compact.

Bought from Ebay used, still showing warranty until 2019 using my support, sony have accepted return but dont want to send it and get stung because i dont have original receipt

I'd say the eBay seller has had it fixed cheaply and passed it on so, would return it if you still can, if not then you're probably going to have to fork out more, or live with it unfortunately.

Thanks for the help, i will return to sony and pay them if I have to, I think the phone is worth it 😊
