topic DNS doesn't work for wifi tethering in X Series

Has anyone experienced the same problem as I am observing? Whenever I connect any device to my Sony Xperia using wifi tethering the device gets the ip address of the phone as name server, but the resolving doesn't work until I restart the phone and repeat the procedure. The phone it self can resolve host names all the time
