Mobile data turns off

After the Oreo update I can't use mobile data at all. I noticed on the internet that this bug was reported already in September. How is it possible that this kind of bug has reached the end user. How and when will it be fixed. My phone is virtually useless for the time being. Hope a fix will be released quicker than ASAP.

No error, just that internet isn't available. Mobile data is however on and the symbols also show that everything is okay.

Found the problem. The Oreo upgrade changed a lot of settings. Among others the APN-setting was changed from operator-internet to operator - MMS. Fixing this fixed the problem.
