Hi Im interested in the xperia 1 iii. Can anyone tell me whether it has the double tap to wake and double tap to turn the screen off please.

Hey @ st3velj, the double tap feature doesn't turn on/off the screen, yet this feature is supported for the One handed mode and adjusting the side sense as explained here.

Once the ambient display shows up, double tap will open the lock screen, I have to wave my hand over it to enable ambient display, then I tap twice

Unfortunately the tap to display off, is not supported.

Yes, you're right! My bad. I just double checked and I found out that the double-tap to wake up feature won't work unless the Ambient Display is turned on.
