I Purchased a year ago a sealed xperia 1 ii from a traveler (Saudi) , after a week when I came back to egypt , I tried to set it up for the first use , when I connected the device to wifi , it was locked and it said " This device is managed by your organization will reset soon) and after an hour , it was reset to default factory. I contacted email mentioned on the device and they replied to me after few days that I should supply the original invoice from sweden in which I don't have . What shall I do ? is there a way to install an original unlocked firmware?

Hello @BassemAbdallah,

to me that sounds like you unknowingly bought a re-sealed stolen device or something similar. A new device would not show this beahavior.

What I wonder though - you purchased it around a year ago, it showed the message when you first tried to set it up (a week later) and you post about it now? Why?

Hi, to answer your question , I tried many sony repair agencies after many fail trial with Telia (Sweden) the phone telecommunication company , and they all fail to fix the problem, I thought that maybe is just a period of time , but the fact is the the problem is still the same. I'm using another phone right now , but I don't know what to do with that phone I paid 1000 U.S and no use of it just calling without using wifi. the bootloader is locked and OEM Greyed out . the phones we purchase here in Egypt are not locked , but unfortunatly we dont have sony official dealers here.

Hello @BassemAbdallah,

as I said in my last comment - to me it sounds like you were scammed. If you can't find the seller, you are probably out of luck, as even for the police it would be hard to find the person.

Also Sony can't help you, as thieves probably try all the time to get phones unlocked - there is no way to verify who is saying the truth and who is lying in that case.

Even if it sounds harsh - I personally would live with the loss and only buy phones from reputable sellers in the future.

Someone asked me if I solved that problem, I would say no just got to live with it. I like Sony phones and unfortunatly no Sony dealers in the middle east just China phones, and if I meet that guy who sold me that phone one day I would probably clean the floor with his face.

Yeah, you probably have to do that

It's a bad situation to live with since you can't get back to the point of sale to report about it, but better luck with your next phone.
