Hi … hoping someone can help.

I have had a PS-LX310BT turntable for a couple of years but I have always suffered with a muddy sound. I have tried all sorts of remedies but have finally given up on the usual fixes. I have switched from phono to line (on the amp as well) changed speakers, changed amps, rewired the speakers, tried bi-wired and standard.
Other aux equipment sounds fine (mp3 player, cd player etc) but the turntable is noticeably muddy.

Does anyone have any suggestions before I give up altogether?

many thanks in advance.

Thanks for responding. I have cleaned the stylus, but not changed it. I had the turntable from new and the sound has always been that way. It also has not had the use it deserves, for the same reason …. ie I don’t get the enjoyment because of the sound, so I don't often use it.

I believe in this case, you might need to change the stylus
