Hi, I purchased this lens in Feb, but, on using today, when pressing shutter button half way to focus, I can now hear the aperture blades, was silent before, anyone else notice this?

Hi,

If you haven't had this noise before there's probably an issue with the aperture blades or the aperture drive.

I would recommend to send the lens to an authorized service centre for inspection.

Hey Whipple, what's the body that you're using it with? Did you try another lens and checked if you hear the same noise? There's nothing much that you can do other then few tests switching the body or the lens to make sure this isn't normal, then send it for repair just to avoid the chargeable inspection in case it was witihn specs.
