Sony UBP X1000 ES 4K Blu Ray Player

I'm having a problem with this player when using the 'Stop' button on the remote

Instead of stopping the disc and returning it to the beginning, it seems to be acting like the 'Pause' button by simply stopping the disc at the point the button was pressed

By pressing 'Play' the disc resumes playback from the point I pressed 'Stop'

So if I want to start the disc from the beginning I have to repeatedly press the 'Return' button and move backwards through the chapters or open and then close the tray again

Surely this is not what Sony intended the user to do ?

Any advice ?
