The TV is connected via Wired LAN yet does not appear on the list of devices when I attempt to cast to device from my Windows 10 Laptop.
I too have had problems casting using a windows 10 laptop. Works intermently and unreliable using AF9 65” tv
Have you tried from Chrome?

Hi @Blumine1818
I have the same problem with my KD-55XE9305 (Oreo) using my laptop connected by WiFi and Ethernet. I spent half a day trying everything I could think of. I even disconnected Ethernet on the TV and connected by WiFi, different Router, firewalls off etc etc.
Now here is the strange thing. on my windows 10 desktop PC (exactly the same version as my laptop 1809) I can cast to the KD-55XE9305 without any problems.
Also it works perfectly on my KD-43X8305C (Nougat) using the same laptop, router and connection. So casting to KD-43X8305C shows the laptop casts without problems and casting from my desktop to KD-55XE9305 shows the TV works and is setup correctly.
Like you the device KD-55XE9305 does not appear in my list of devices to cast to. Only the DLNA version.
I gave up in the end ...
How is this done via Chrome?
Thank you.
With chrome first confirm you have the latest version by going to the three dots, and then find the ‘about’ tab, the browser will automatically update if an update is needed. Now from the three dots select cast and from the cast sub menu select the source from options provided, files, web page etc
