I have a KD49XF9005 which is now about 8 years old.
The problem which has just arisen is that whenever I switch to my set top box (whichever HDMI port it is attached to) the TV immediately switches out of that and back to digital. I know that the issue is with the TV as I have tried the set top box (which is very new) on a different TV and it works normally. Indeed, it worked normally on the Sony TV until recently.
I have gone so far as a complete factory reset but that has made no difference. I suspect that the position is irretrievable but just thought that I would ask here in case anyone else has come across the same issue.
