hi,
i would like to know what is the best way to connect HDD connected to my TV?
is it possible to have samba share server on tv?
background:
i have hdd connected to PI. TV has SPMC
my 4k HDR movies within the intranet buffers a lot. not sure why?
so i am planning to have one hdd connected to TV
i download the movies to my Pi NAS and copy them over to HDD connected to TV.
is their an option to movie it via network? using samba or any other client?
No since we can't write to USB drives since MM downgrade. And you don't need samba/SMB for that.
If we ever get write permissions back and it seems that we will not since it's been almost a year since that easter egg in MM downgrade, you can do that with file manager. Can't comment on any other bit in ES file explorer PRO (not the free malware/spyware version) you can browse any network location that you set up and than copy forth and back between them. I used to do that a lot before.
how do you all download and watch movies on TV with limited network speed on TV?
within the local house intranet, my tv struggles to play my videos on the network smb hdd.
the file are only 20gb 4k files. i am just clueless how to sort this issue.
i can have a hdd connected to my torrent pc and another hdd connected to TV. download the movies to torrent hdd and then move to tv hdd overnight via es explorer ftp. that is the only thing i can think of
but i hate to do that way 😞
