I have just purchased a new Sony Bravia KD43X72KPU, and find that there is no Programme Reminder function on it (i.e. you can select a future programme in the Programme List and the TV will automatically switch to it - or switch on - at the appointed time). Previous Sony Bravia models I have had in past years (plus several Toshibas) have had this function, and the manual also seems to indicate that it is available for some markets. Can it not be added/activated for the UK with a future operating systems upgrade? It does appear to be there for 'recording a programme' if you have a hard disk (or similar) attached (or perhaps not?).
Hi @stagv8 The help pages suggest that you need to change the schedule type to Reminder.

Hi,
Thank you - I’ve managed to track it down now. But it is rather laborious - having to enter each and every one of the details manually rather than just select the programme and hit the 'Select' button. And it doesn't seem to switch the television on if it is in standby mode; it only activates the selected channel if the TV is already on.
