I've got the same problem too,I use Xperia C5,Thai zone.
an update made my sd card 64 Gb Sandisk ultra broken, that means I can't use it now,
It always shows your Card isn't support or your card have problem please Format.
I did it again and agian.even I format it via my computer,my friends's Xperia phone,It doesn't work!
I repaired software or Format factory,it doesn't help too.
Local supprt told me It was my card 's going to break,or something. they told like it was my fault ? and suggest me to buy a new micro Sd card, it's not OK for me. :((
I'm thinking about flash it back to 29.2.A.0.122 but I worry about my phone will brick.
so,I think may be the software have some bug, that happen on many users who use C5 ultra like me.
(My friends in FB they have same problem too)
and Sony developer should fixs this bug as soon as possible

I don't know why your SD card is broken, but if format did not helped, as siad Sony Mobile support try new card. Maybe you using not supported SD card or something like this. The first you must find where is problem. I don't say you buy new card, but try if you can offcourse another other card, also check in other smartphone (better the same model) or working your SD card and ect. As i mentioned before i had the same problem, after update always SD card unmouted. But after several format for me helped. By the way as i know latest firmware version is not 29.2.A.0.122. For single - 29.2.A.0.129. This information is from Sony Mobile (official). So i advise you the first check is any update for you (not with Xperia Companion, but in smartphone too, with IMEI in Sony Mobile web site). By the way repair had to update into mentioned version. As i know this update is already in most or maybe all regions. So i have some questions for you. If you did repair, even several times, for me strange sound version which you have of firmware, so maybe you rooted yours smartphone? Or somehow you modified yours SD card? If you rooted yours smartphone it's normal that you did not got 29.2.A.0.129 update, coz need to flash it now. Also if you tried to do SD card as primary memory point, so you could broke SD card too. So, did you that or not?

I have Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual too, but with 29.2.B.0.129 operating system, i have SanDisk 64GB, new, fresh and ect. Working fine. It can be issues of 29.2.A.0.166. But the first i advise you to try to format it, if don't helps, then try to repair smartphone/format SD card and if still don't helps when connect to local support
