You don't need sophisticated, expensive equipment to explore the wonders of the universe.
I started back in September with nothing more than my RX10M4 and a budget Polar Mount and am beginning to get some acceptable results.
The first one I tried was the Andromeda Galaxy, just off the Milky Way...............
and my latest, a couple of nights ago, the amazing Orion Nebula................
Both of these beautiful Deep Space Objects are just visible with the naked eye on a clear, dark night.
My setup is a Star Watcher polar mount, essential for longer exposures, and my RX10M4.
Hello @cheddarman,
thank you for showing off your setup.
A star-tracker is a must for proper star-photography.

Absolutely. When zoomed in, even a 10second exposure will create star trails and un usable photos! And once you have a polar mount, accurate polar alignment is essential!
Good luck.
