Camera won’t take pictures

Hi, 

I’ve had a Sony Cybershot DSC-WX350

sincr Christmas. I’ve gone to use it today and it won’t take pictures. It won’t focus on on anything but will play videos. 

Also in the bottom right hand corner there’s also a strange square which is showing showing like a mountain range moving (like a moving bar graph) 

can somebody please advise?

Hello @andrea_kenyon,

the "mountain" on the screen is the so called histogram, which you can deactivate in the menu or by pressing the "DISP." button.

Is the camera set to "photo" via the mode-dial on top?
