I bought a new DSC-HX200V camera got it yesterday, charged up the battery, turned on and the language screen appeared, pressed ok, select language, pressed ok it went back to language screen and I can't get any further. What am I doing wrong or should I send it back.

If you are finding that the camera is stuck in a loop of always going back to the language screen, there may well be a software fault within the camera. This is however pretty rare so I would advise you to check that you are not accidentally pressing the 'back' or 'cancel' buttons instead (I have done this before by accident!).

Hi

It might help to press the shutter release (take a photo) as soon as you power the camera up. Then set the Date/Time as normal.

This has helped some people with Date/Time setup issues on other models
