PRS-300 capable of supporting EPUB3?

I am somewhat confused with the info concerning books available now in EPUB3 format on the Kobo site.

Can someone please advise whether my ancient PRS-300 can handle books in this format?

EPUB3 is the latest version of the EPUB format. EPUB3 files are not compatible with certain older Kobo devices and apps, as well as the Sony Reader.
