Urgh!
so i started watching something using the amazon app for the first time, got 15mins in then it displayed a message saying something like ‘this app is too large’ and completely froze up. Couldn’t do anything with remote or buttons, it was stuck fast, so pulled the power.
when it came back on it shows the sony blu-ray logo, then goes blank, hangs for 10 secs or so and then restarts, over and over and over....
is there anyway of doing some sort of hardware reboot, software refresh or something without the device being able to boot up?

I would try the following:
Disconnect power (pull the plug from the socket).
Press the disc-eject button and keep it pressed while reconnecting power (maybe you need a second person for this) hold the disc-eject button until the tra opens.
Once the tray is open, disonnect power, wait a bit and then reconnect power.

I’m afraid bot sorry. Tried a few times. I even tried starting it up with a disc in to see if that would auto start, but no, nothing.
I think the software has completely crashed/corrupted and won’t load.
