KD-55XG9505 and HT-G700 sound audio drops and problems.

Hi i have KD-55XG9505 , HT-G700 , MAG250 and Nvidia Shiled TV. Soundbar is connected to TV with 8K cable – HDMI3 (eARC) and from soundbar I connected Nvidia Shiled with the same high quality cable. MAG250 is my tv box connected to HDMI1. All three devices have the latest firmware updates installed. When i watch TV and changing channels audio drops out and soundbar display LPCM. If I press pause , fast forward , backward or watched recorded tv is the same problem. The same problem appears and when I watch movies or tv show with Nvidia Shield TV. There is a lot of people with the same problem on reddit and other sites. Is there any solution for this problem ?

Hey, there's a new software update released recently addressing this issue: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xg95xx_x95xxg-series/kd-55xg9505/software...

Press Help on the remote to check the current version, if you don't have v6.5042 try a manual update then a factory reset. Let us know if that worked.

I already tried factory reset. Two times - tv and soundbar. the problem still apears. TV is with v6.5042 firmware , before month i update it. Maybe the soundbar needs a firmware update.

Hi,

I know this disables the eARC but does the issue occur if you connect the soundbar to the TV by an optical cable?

Cheers,

When i disable aARC everything is OK. No audio drop when changing channels or ffwd in movies. Optic cable doesn't allow ATMOS and etc. I find that when i disable eARC , ATMOS is not working. I found this table.

Table comparing the supported functions of three cables: optical S/PDIF cable, HDMI cable, and HDMI with Ethernet cable.

Have you tried clearing the cached data (under Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) then restart by holding power?

Yes. I already tried but the problem still persist. Also made two times factory reset on both devices ( TV and soundbar). A lot of people with Sony TV with Android TV have the same problem with other brands soundbars.
