Problem with newly fitted Sony XAV-AX5550ANT

Hi, don't know if anyone can help. I have just fitted a Sony XAV-AX5550ANT car head unit to my VW T5 van. Sometimes when I turn the ignition off the radio stays on. It seems to be intermittently, sometimes it switches off when the ignition is turned off sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't switch off with the ignition and I switch it off manually, when switching the ignition back on the headunit re-searches for all the radio channels. I had a Sony CD player fitted before which I had no problem with and all I did was switched the wires over to the new head unit, so I don't think it is a wrong connected lead. Also I think if it was a wrongly connected lead it would do it all the time.

Any ideas anyone?

There's a warning in the Manual against using this model with a car that doesn't have an ACC position. Keeping that in mind, it could be that, or a loose connection wire.

It's also worth checking that you have the latest software version installed.
