Str-dn1050 and str-dn1080

Been a few yes since Sony stopped multiroom / app support for the star-dn1050, which was less than 18 months old and within weeks of buying a new str-dn1080; Turned my less than two year old receiver into a worthless lump of plastic overnight..

Paid a lot of money and given recommendation  since on hi-if and TVs without a penny going to Sony and see no reason to ever buy a Sony product again.

Thank you for the feedback. We've noted your opinion about the termination of Multiroom and how it affects your experience, but unfortunately, there isn't an alternative that we can suggest.

It was the same type of reply I got a few years back.

I spent almost £1000 on a multiroom / app controlled system that was made worthless within months. Said at the time I would never buy anything “Sony” again and have gone years without doing this. Can you imagine the uproar if Sonos or any worthwhile electrical company had done similar!
