Can I add a second HDD to a VPCEC1SE1?

Hi

The VPCEC1SE1 appears to have space for two hard drives but only one SATA connection. Is it possible to add a second drive and if so, how do I do it?

Hi Not_At_Home,

Only one hard disk by port it's allowed.

If you want to add more disks to your system, consider adding usb hard disks or an USB hub.

surely you must be able to install a 2nd hdd, one of the options if you customise the 17" e-serise on the sony site is to have 2x500GB so im pretty sure you can install a 2nd drive its just a matter of finding the correct connector, i had to do something similar with a dell vostro 1700 i have which also had dual hdd bays.
