I have a Vaio VPCEA1S1E with an Esata/USB combo port. I want to purchase an Esata portable hard disk, but was wandering if I will need to use the Esata port and a seperate USB port to power the disk drive, or would I only need to use the combo port?
I have never had an Esata portable disk drive before and presumed that esata ports are not powered like USB ports are, but seeing as the port is combined on this model, things might be different?
Thanks for any replies.
