I recently purchased a used Sony Vaio for personal use...

...and I'm having problems with the Matshita DVD RAM drive. I checked the usual suspexts has to why it is failing. I'm getting an error 19 and it tells me that it was either not installed properly or that the drives are corrupt. Can anyone here assist me? Thank you!

This is a fairly common problem which can be fixed with a straightforward Registry Edit.
