Does anyone know what lead I need. I have a VGNF315S Vaio Laptop and I want to connect it up to my Sony record deck to record vinyl albums onto CD's. Phoned Sony Centre in Merry Hill who told me I would need to bring the laptop in! How ridiculous that they can't tell me what lead I need given that I told them the Model Number!!

You don't give the full model number - I assume it is a VGN-FS315S.
Anyway, it depends on the outputs from your record deck. A stand alone record deck normally has 2 X Phono Plugs (Male).
If this is the case, you will need a 2 X Phono Plugs (Female) to a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug which will fit in your Microphone Socket.
