Newest SD-Card Driver for XP-Vaio

Hi to everybody,

looking for the newest XP driver for the built-in
SD-card slot. After RE-Installing XP on my
Vaio-VGN-AR21s, the SD-Card slot accepts SD-cards
up to 2GB only. This may be due to the fact that
the re-installed XP is about 2-1/2 years old.

Does somebody know a driver to remedy this problem?

Have you reistalled the updated driver for your model dating from late 2007?

I saw this link but did not really know if I could use it for my AR21s?

All other functions work very well - except the SD-Slot, which suddenly doesn't read
SD-HD-Cards an more - and I didn't want to risk damaging the system again.
RE-Installing all on new HDs was time-consuming enough. Did you ever have a similar problem?

Hi there,

I finally did it and ran TIDMSC-01549400-UN.exe which I had downloaded
some time ago.

And it worked!! Apparently only few drivers were installed as the update
took only a few seconds. But now my card slot works again with cards
larger than 2 GB.

And that was all I wanted at this time. There may be other changes?

It creates a reassuring feeling to know that there are people out there
who are helping others. I will keep a watch on this forum and hopefully
be of help if a problem comes up that I have mastered already.
