VGN-NR21Z graphics problem

Hi guys

I have a Sony Vaio model no. VGN-NR21Z.

It look as though the on board graphics has gone totally bang. I get vertical and horizontal lines allover the screen, multi-coloured, and like a black and white checkered display on initial boot. It's impossible to see what's on screen.
