Recovery Utility

Is ther somewhere I can download this so that I can use it to get back to the original setup that sits in the recovery partition?

Hi,

The Recovery Utility is not downloadable and is only available as part of the Sony OEM software installation.

You can recover your Vaio back to its original setup in two ways: -

1. Place your Recovery System disc in the drive and reboot - the Vaio will boot from the Recovery Disc and load the Recovery Utility.

2. During boot tap F10 repeatedly when you see the first Vaio logo on screen - this will load the Recovery Utility.

Only a complete system recovery is possible - so choose that option.

If neither of these work you will need to buy a set of recovery discs from Sony.
