SD/MCC slot
I have a VAIO LA-2 series with Vista Home Premium 32bit,
for sometime I have been unable to load any of my SDHC cards on the SD/MCC slot, it just will not read them – any suggestions?

Have you ever been able to load SDHC cards?
On most Vaios the SD slot does not support SDHC.

Нет проблем со слотами. Все работает мухой. Посмотрите, установлены ли у вас корректные драйвера на кардридеры. Смотрим в: Правой кнопкой по My Computer - Properties - Device Manager.
Added: sorry, mistakenly answered in Russian. Now in Enflish:
No problems with cardreader at all. Everything works. Try to check if all drivers are installed: My Computer (right button) - Properties - Device Manager.

If it once worked I would try reinstalling the original memory card drivers.
You may find this in a folder C:\Drivers on your hard drive or you can download the Original Drivers Package from the support page for your model here:

Thank you for you reply.
I have checked the drivers but they all look up-to-date, any further suggestion?

Even if the drivers look up to date, I would still try to reinstall the original one. Often a Microsoft Update can make changes to drivers.
If that does not work you will have to buy a cheap external USB card adapter.

Many thanks for all your help - it still does not work, so I have sent for a cheap external USB card adapter.
