Hi keeno84,

what is the normal running temperature of your vaio..?

If you're unsure PCWizard is a handy application to check your Vaio’s temperature. To download use the following link: PC Wizard

Hi keeno84,

Have you tried VAIO Hardware Diagnostics to check if some HW malfunctioning (FAN, CPU, ...) ?

running between 62 and 65 degrees

That seems OK and would not cause the CPU to shut down - that usually happens at 90 degrees.
Check your Graphics Card temperature.

How do you know it is temperature related?

Hi keeno84,

try a system restore, whilst in safe mode, to an point before your Vaio had this problem..

To boot into safe mode, Start your vaio and when the vaio logo appears press the F8 key repeatedly

I have done this already and now contacted sony who are sending me recovery cd's as they think the harddrive and recovery partition is corrupt.
