VGN-Z11MN and Windows 7 Upgrade

I've just bought my first VAIO, the low end of Z series - VGN-Z11MN. I'm quite happy with it and I was even more happy considering coming Windows 7 upgrade. However, I was more than amazed when I checked the upgrade site and didn't find my model on a very long list of all VAIOs ever built. Does anynone have an idea why SONY has forgotten about the whole Z11 series?

Hi cnnhead and welcome.

I think that only this year's Vaio models are listed on the Windows 7 Upgrade site. This is because only these models will qualify for the free Windows 7 Upgrade if they were bought between June 26, 2009 and January 31, 2010. The VGN-Z21, Z31 & Z41 models are on the free upgrade list.

The VGN-Z11 is a 2008 model.
