I have the stand. There's no audio capability. I plug speakers in via the headphone socket. Or you could connect via Bluetooth. I like the stand as it removes the fiddling about from plugging the charger in as you just drop the tablet into the cradle or lift it out. Plus it puts the tablet at a good angle to use as a bedside clock, photoviewer etc.
