Hi @tatarin72, sorry to hear about this.

If you go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Show all xx apps > tap the three dots in the top right corner > Show system.

Scroll down and find "Media storage" and tap on it > Storage & cache > Clear storage followed by OK and then restart your device. It may take a while before all media are shown in the device again so don't panic if you don't see your pictures or videos right away.

Hi my wife is having the same problem with her phone after update 

have tried what you suggested but did not work still having the same problem

any other ideas ?
