Hey there,
since i updated my xz2 premium to Android 10 i barely find any title by searching for them. I made sure, there still in the system and they are. I mainly bought the phone because of it's ldac and so on.....
Anybody out there with similar problems since Android 10?
I'm facing the same problem.
But it seems that searching with English is working but not with other languages.
Also, not sure if it just me or not, playlists sync with MediaGo now showing that they are empty playlists. I don't know if there are any changes in filesystem or directory making the app can't file music file with the same path written it playlist files.

What app are you using to search?
I use poweramp and it's search scans the Metadata fine for me.
I Have the same problem: I can't find any songs in the Sony music app EXCEPT those that I have added after the update installed.
Update: when I type in "d" it also displays songs that I have added before the update, but that's the only search term that works.
By the way I'm using the Xperia XZ3 if that helps.
Im using the music app which comes already installed in the phone.
I GOT A SOLUTION.
Since the search works with all the songs/ audio files i have added after the update, i got the idea to make the music app detect all the songs as new ones. All you have to do to solve this problem is to change the driectory of all the songs that you have on your device (or at least those that you want the music app to find via the search option). It's enough to rename the folder(s) the music is located in. I, for example, changed the name of the folder of my music from "Musik" to "Songs" and it worked well.
- Keep in mind that it might take a while for the music app to detect all the song again (restart your device a couple of times until it's done).
- I almost forgot to mention that the tags you've set with the app (song title, artist, etc.) will be gone most likely.
And please excuse my poor English, it's not my first language.
