icons slow to appear after Android 10 update

Icons on home screen "fade in" after exiting an app or going to home screen, after Android 10 update.  I cant' swear but I'm pretty sure that the icons appeared instantly before.  I could not find an option anywhere (or within developer settings) to disable that effect.  Makes phone seem slower and indeed I have to wait a split second for the icon to appear when going back to home screen.

Try changing your theme... I downloaded the dark theme now everything shows up great. I was going to try changing my wallpaper and in developer settings turned off all animations but the theme changed worked
