Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling.

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 and forum staff will do our best to reply! 

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

Hi @XepptizZ, I know that Ingress Protection ratings sometimes may be a bit confusing. The reason for specifying both IPX5 and IPX8 is that the tests for these ratings differ, and being protected against one does not automatically make the device resistant towards the other. For example, a device may be protected from immersion (for this example, IPX8) but not be protected against low-pressure water jet spray (IPX5), and in that case we can't specify the device as such - and vise versa. 

To summarize, IPX5 means that the device is protected against low-pressure water jet spray for at least 3 minutes, while the IPX8 means that the device is protected against the effects of continued immersion in water at depths greater than 1 metre.

Is there a USB type C to HDMI adapter so I can screen mirror to my TV?

I don't want to use the wifi feature in this case because I'll be moving out of my apartment soon and don't feel the need to buy internet.

Daft question I know. I like in the UK. When Im not on a wifi network & want to use data, which are the correct settings to use & where are they?

@Ibbo those settings depend on your carrier. if you go to Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Internet settings > Accept, the phone should download proper settings for your carrier.

I've had my XZ1 for a week now. Twice Bluetooth has crashed, coming back up after a phone reset. It has paired well with everything I need it to. However.... in my car it's gone from displaying all my received, dialled and missed calls to stating no numbers available. The phone book is still available and working. I have checked my connection settings for that device and contact sharing is checked. Any ideas welcome.

Can't be sure, but I think the phone has done a restart on it's own in the car.

Please help! Apart from this issue, I love my XZ1.

I have a question about the most painful problem in xperia. How many years must pass, that on xperia will be have better photos, than competitors? My grandchildren will see this, or they are also doomed to see the neverending shame that we have been seeing since 2013 to this day ...?:smileyshame_on_you:
