Quick questions, quick replies; ask anything about the Xperia XZ1!

Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling. Slightly_smiling_Face

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 and forum staff will do our best to reply!

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

NOTE:
Support related questions, such as raising concerns and troubleshooting are best suited in a different thread/their own thread. Please try to see if there is a thread regarding your concern, and if not, feel free to create one! smile happy

I'm happy for you, although I think no war needed in the first place.

Yeah, If SONY make a clear statement from the very begining then there's no war.

I don't really know why SONY keep saying nothing that they're working on this stuff and that make people get angry. Including me as well.

The autobrightness is broken. I hope Sony can fix it with the next Update.

@LarsM

The last update fixed it. It's not perfectly smooth yet but let's hope for a new update.

It would help to open a ticket with their customer support.

Does anyone else's xz1 randomly freeze and restart at least once a day? Any ideas on how to fix without having to do a complete reset? Thanks.

Hi Team

I am from Mumbai, India and am looking forward to buying Xperia XZ1, but it seems only Black color is available. Can the team let me know when is Sony going to launch the other 3 colors for Xperia XZ1? I am interested in Midnight Blue or Warm Silver.

Hi @pbhat25, I am sorry to say that this is a Global user based Support forum, so I am not an expert on specific markets outside the one which I operate it. Slightly_frowning_Face It would be best to raise this type of questions directly with your Local support, as they will be well informed when it comes to the market you are interested in and the product availability! Wich camera resolution gives better picture quality ( less noise, fast processing, better details vs file storage) 12 mp or 17/19 mp? Wich one you prefer?

hi @ErnestoRT!

Very nice question!

well based from my experience. it depends on the situation. example

LANDSCAPES/BEACH/WIDE SCENE: i used the highest resolution available, because it produces a wide field of view, and if your picture doesn't need to be zoomed in for details this is the better option.

close ups/subjects in the center: I use the lower resolution because in this case, the camera algorithm uses a technique called pixel binning, which it will take all details from the availble pixels and "cruncH" it to the lower resolution thereby giving it more details when you need to zoom in on your subjects.

i may not be an expert on the camera settings but feel free to ask more questions
