Hey everyone! The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the XZ Premium; other users owning an Xperia XZ Premium and forum staff will do our best to reply! Slightly_smiling_Face 

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ Premium you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ Premium, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

Has the Oreo update finished rollout for XZP.  I just got mine but still on 7.1.1 and that is latest that is available for my phone.

It updated on mine over a month ago. Might be regional or carrier restricted for you.

Gday I bought a verbatim 256gb SD memory card. And my phone doesn't work properly with it. Not sure why.

Formatted the memory card before putting it in.

Transfered all my stuff now all gone.

It freezes and apps don't work properly. 

How can I fix this

What to do with slow software update / Slow software repair via Xperia Companion. Network is good was able to download apps with ease ( no problem with internet speed). Hoping for your immediate reply. Thanks

Hey, just got my phone, after months of wishing for it and it's super hot! Just googling makes it hot and it can't even be touched while charging! It wasn't this bad even on old xperia p, xperia v and z1 and z3! Battery is out after only 3,hours and the only thing I was doing was googling why this is happening to my brand new 6,hours old phone Slightly_frowning_Face did I get a bad batch or wth is going on? Not many apps at all, the usual ones and temp is 54*degrees Celsius while using Google, so dissatisfied 😒 Please answer should I require a new phone?

If you are using the original charger and USB cable that came bundled with the phone, then I'd strongly suggest that you try to get a replacement phone. The XZ Premium is known to stay really cool when extremely used, even when filming 4K videos for long times.

I would say you got a bad phone or it has a bad battery. I'd return it. It's possible you damaged it on the first charge. Read tips on charging with USB-C. I multi task with multiple apps at the same time for work and it's been very reliable and only been warm. I use a Cruzerlite case.

Thank you for the response. I just got the phone, so yes, unless they put a fake charger into the box, I am using the original charger. I am aware that the hone is supposed to be cool, which is one of the main reasons that I ordered it! I record alot of videos as I have a youtube chanel, and the phone was bought with that being the primary intended use - having over 50 degrees while checking facebook, and the hone getting to over 80 degrees when filming is just unacceptable for such an expensive phone - I can forget about filming for 20 minutes! When I opened the box, there were no ear phones and the sticker plastic was missing from the back, but was present on the front. It was ordered on my grandmothers name and to her address, so my guess is that the phone had been used and broken/was disfunctional to begin with and they thought that an 80 year old lady would not notice. I hope I am wrong, and I sincerly hope that they get me a replacement hone promptly as I am travelling out of the country soon and refuse to repair a phone that I just recieved! Thank you once again. P.S: the phone reaches over 40 degrees celsius even out of charger when the only thing I am doing is checking the temperature of the device! It is extremly hot by the lower speaker on the front and the entire back gets hot the second I turn on the phone, even when reset and no applications installed. You are right, this is NOT normal!
